- Scott was born and raised in San Francisco and earned a journalism degree from San Francisco State University. He spent 15 years working as a photojournalist for newspapers, including the San Mateo Times. His work has also appeared in the The San Francisco Chronicle and Gentry Magazine, as well as books and other publications.
Scott has clients throughout the Peninsula and also travels across the state as the photographer for The California Educator, a monthly magazine distributed to teachers, legislators and the media.
Scott’s work has appeared in campaign materials for local politicians and other subjects have included sports legends Joe Montana and Willie Mays, Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty, and actors Robin Williams, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Lou Diamond Philips.
Portraits, group shots, events and architectural photos are among Scott’s specialties, and his work appears in newsletters, in-house publications, annual reports and on clients’ websites.

Scott photographs his clients in their workplace, home or event setting to minimize hassle, during daytime or evening hours. He never charges a fee for consulting time, location walk throughs, rush jobs, or to archive or retrieve photos from past orders.
